Before you can install your font, you need to download the font file and extract its contents. See How do I download font files? and How do I extract font files? for further instructions if you have not yet completed these steps.
Macintosh OS X and Higher
- Double-click the Macintosh HD icon on your desktop.
- Open the Library folder.
- Open the Fonts folder.
- Go to the area in which you downloaded your font and open the ClipArt.com font folder.
- In the ClipArt.com font file window, hit Command-A ("select all").
- While holding down the option key, drag the selected font files into the Library's Fonts folder (you will be able to move all of them at once).
- If you want to use this font in your Classic Environment, you also need to do the following:
- Open the System Folder folder in the Macintosh HD window.
- Open the Fonts folder.
- Drag the font files from the ClipArt.com font folder into the Fonts folder.
- Close all windows and applications.
- Restart your Mac.
Macintosh OS 7, 8, and 9
- Double-click the Macintosh HD icon on your desktop.
- Open System Folder.
- Open the Fonts folder.
- Go to the area in which you downloaded your font and open the ClipArt.com font file.
- Open the font's "suitcase" folder.
- In the font file window, hit Command-A ("select all").
- Drag the selected font files into your open "Fonts" window (you will be able to move all of them at once).
- Hit Command-A.
- Drag the selected font files into your open "Fonts" window (you will be able to move all of them at once).
- Close the Fonts folder, the System Folder, and the hard disk files.
- To see your new fonts, quit then relaunch any application that was open during installation.
