I got the error message 'Font may be broken or corrupted.'
Chances are your computer is "overfonted" -- that is, you have more fonts than Windows can deal with. How many fonts does it take to overload Windows? The magic number may lie anywhere between 300 and 1,000.

To free up some space for your new TrueType fonts:

  1. Pull up your Start menu to Settings.

  2. Select Control Panel.

  3. Open Control Panel's "Fonts" folder.

  4. Select a font you never use and click on it.

  5. Select Delete from the File menu to delete the font.

  6. Repeat steps #4 and #5 for another font you never use.

  7. Quit all of your applications and restart your computer.

  8. Install your TrueType fonts.

To free up some space for your new PostScript Type 1 fonts:

  1. Open Adobe Type Manager (ATM).

  2. Select some fonts you do not need and click Remove.

  3. Install your PostScript fonts.
