ClarisWorks 4.0 will not read JPEG (.jpg) files. If you try to insert a JPEG in this application, it will appear as garbled text. To open the image in a format that ClarisWorks will recognize, try one of the options below:

Download the ClipArt.com image as a GIF (.gif)

1. Find the image again on ClipArt.com's site. (See I downloaded an item on ClipArt.com's site, and now I need to find it again to quickly relocate the item.)

2. If the image is available as a GIF, download that version and open it in ClarisWorks.

3. If the image is not available as a GIF, try the second option below.

Convert the image to a format ClarisWorks will recognize

1. Open an image utility (such as ImageViewer or VuePrint).

   If you do not have an image utility, follow one of the links below to download one.

   • Macintosh: ImageViewer
   • Windows: VuePrint

2. Open the image in your image utility and save it in a format ClarisWorks will recognize, such as GIF, TIFF, or PICT. (See your image utility's help documentation for instructions.)

3. Open the converted image in ClarisWorks.
