There are two possible explanations: your application does not support the type of image you are using, or it does not recognize the image. To find out what's causing the problem, look at the last three letters in the image's filename to see what its extension is:
- If the extension is ".jpg", check your software's help documentation to see if your editor reads JPEG files. If it does not, see My image editor doesn't support JPEG -- what should I do?
- If the extension is ".gif", check your software's help documentation to see if your editor reads GIF files. If it does not, see My image editor doesn't support GIF -- what should I do?
- If the extension is ".psd", check your software's help documentation to see if your editor reads PSD files. If it does not, see My image editor doesn't support PSD -- what should I do?
- If the extension is ".eps", check your software's help documentation to see if your editor reads EPS files. If it does not, see My image editor doesn't support EPS -- what should I do?
- If the extension is ".wmf", check your software's help documentation to see if your editor reads WMF files. If it does not, see My image editor doesn't support WMF -- what should I do?
- If the extension is ".art", see I can't open the images I downloaded from my AOL browser.
- If the extension is ".mpl", see I can't open my '.mpl' file.
- If the extension is something other than ".jpg", ".gif", ".psd", ".eps", ".wmf", ".art", or ".mpl", delete the file, then download the image again without changing the extension. (See I downloaded an item on ClipArt.com's site, and now I need to find it again to quickly relocate it.)
