TrueType A font format that contains only one file (as opposed to PostScript fonts, which contain three). The more complex graphics applications (like Illustrator, FreeHand, or CorelDRAW), most service bureaus, and most printing facilities require the screen and printer files contained in PostScript fonts; as a result, they will NOT support TrueType fonts. However, the TrueTypes are easier to use and install in Windows, they can print on non-PostScript printers, and they work just as well as PostScript in word processing and page layout applications.
